Liz Gherna Plays to Full House at Viper Room June 29, 2017
Liz Gherna headlined at The Viper Room June 29, 2017, going on at 9 pm and playing to a packed house. The event was dedicated to Tracy Baker, a friend battling cancer, and proceeds went to the Tracy Baker Recovery Fund.
Gregory Dean was on guitar, Mike Yurko on bass, and Lou Hinzo on drums, on the premier Los Angeles sound stage, The Viper Room. Liz Gherna’s performance was featured in LA Weekly.
Since opening in 1993, the world-famous Viper Room (also known as Johnny Depp’s joint) has hosted the likes of Johnny Cash, Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers, Oasis, Elvis Costello, and Lenny Kravitz. It is situated in the heart of the world famous Sunset Strip.
Liz Gherna played all originals, opening with Bossa Nova and Good Love. Next came My Life on Fire, Tears of My Own, I’m Not Happy I’m Gay, I Just Wanna Belong, and I’m Wrong. A powerful closing included My Stew Blues and Good for Me.
