The Liz Gherna Band Rocks for Charity at Serenity House Benefit
The Liz Gherna Band headlined the Serenity House Benefit Rockin After Party yesterday, entertaining an amazing crowd of supporters and friends and family and fans. Liz was backed by Carol Lynn Schiada, Gregory Dean, Neal Shelton, Gregg Wietstock and Rick Bryan.
The Liz Gherna Band played signature original hard folk with songs like I’m Not Happy, I’m Gay, and a beautiful rendition of “My Mother’s Garden” just with saxist Neal Shelton. Lynn Schiada led the band in warm up with a host of blues songs, with Liz Gherna occasionally jumping in too.
A rousing cover of Janis Joplin’s “Piece of My Heart” got people up on their feet dancing in spite of the heat.

Women from the Serenity House served up a delicious meal of BBQ hamburgers and hot dogs and a rockin pasta salad. Families, bikers, rockers, folk artists, and more gathered after the Poker Run and enjoyed a very fun day of music, prizes, food, friends, hope faith and serenity. Thanks to all who came out to support the Serenity House and celebrate this beautiful sunny day.
